"Catch the next generation of bluegrass masters when The Tuttles with AJ Lee take the stage at the Freight. The Northern California Bluegrass Society has named them Best Bluegrass Band the last two years in a row, as well as naming Molly Tuttle the Best Guitarist, Michael Tuttle the Best Mandolin Player, and Jack Tuttle the Best Fiddler. Oh, and Best Female Vocalist? That would be AJ in 2010 and 2011, Molly in 2012. The point is, these folks can sing and play bluegrass with skill and spirit far beyond their years – except for Jack. His years are already up there with his spirit and skill. He’s the father of Molly, Michael, and Sullivan, the band’s bass player, and he gave the kids their first music lessons in their living room in Palo Alto, passing along what he learned as a member of the original Tuttle Family Band that his father Gerald started many decades ago on the family’s farm in Illinois." -- Freight & Salvage Coffee House
The Tuttles with AJ Lee will also perform in Santa Cruz County at Don Quixote's in Felton -- Sunday, January 6, at 1pm, and on KPIG at 10am that same day.

Molly & Jack Win 2nd Place on Prairie Home!

Thank you to everyone for your encouragement and for listening to Molly & Jack on Prairie Home Companion October 20th!  Molly and Jack had a terrific time meeting Garrison Keillor and his talented staff, hearing the other duet singers -- who were brilliant, and they were thrilled to win second place in the duet contest!  Garrison also let all of the singers be part of his skit.  He and his staff were extremely generous in making all of the duet singers feel special and Garrison had them all to his home for a great celebration and night of singing together after the show.    Here is a link to Prairie Home's recording of Jack and Molly's winning song, Kentucky Waltz.  Here is a link to a short video from the show: Prairie Home Duet Contest Video.  Here is a link to the recording of the show -- you can hear all of the skits and the other five talented duet singers, plus the show's great Guy's All-Star Shoe Band: Prairie Home Companion October 20 Show.

Prairie Home Companion Oct. 20th!

Molly & Jack are thrilled and honored to be performing on the Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keilor on Saturday, October 20th, from 5-7pm Central Time (3-5pm California time).  This is a very long-time dream come true!  They are finalists in Garrison's annual duet contest and will be singing some beautiful dad-daughter duets together.   Audience members in the theatre and also those who listen live will select the winners!  We hope you'll listen live and vote for your favorite duet online at PrairieHome.PublicRadio.org.  If your local radio station plays this great show later in the day, as our does, you can go to PrairieHome.PublicRadio.org and listen to the show live-streamed online, otherwise you don't get to vote.  Go Molly & Jack!
